Handmade GRP Pickguards – Custom Artwork, Custom Fit

Give your instrument a truly individual character with a hand‑crafted GRP pickguard, created from durable glass‑reinforced polymer and finished with bespoke artwork.

Each piece is hand‑painted, hand‑cut, shaped to size and finished to a high gloss - crafted individually, making every pickguard a unique change to existing guitar or addition to any guitar build.

Hand‑Painted Artwork - Original artwork created entirely by hand. Every pickguard is a one‑off piece with its own visual identity.

Custom Cutting - Because each pickguard is shaped around the artwork itself:

§  Screw holes may not match standard factory positions.

§  Hole placement follows the flow and geometry of the design, preserving the artwork.

§  The GRP material is cut, shaped, and bevelled by hand for a clean, professional fit.

Multi‑Layer Clear‑Coat Finish - to achieve a smooth, durable, mirror‑like surface, each pickguard receives:

Multiple layers of clear coat.

Level‑sanding between coats.

§  Final buffing and polishing for a glassy, reflective finish. This protects the artwork and ensures long‑term durability.

Current Availability

1.     “Koi” Pickguard design is available now - on its own as a standalone pickguard – please note the screw holes have no standard placement and if you are putting it on your own T style body 3 of original holes will need to be filled in.

2.      Custom Pickguard Artwork - GRP pickguards can be commissioned. Pricing varies depending on the complexity of the artwork, colours, and detailing requested. Starting price is £90.

3.      Pickguard & Body Refinish Package - you can also order a pickguard together with your guitar body refinish (or body provided by me). Any screw holes positioning differences will be filled in and drilled by me to match the design shape.

Starting price for this service is £340 - final pricing depends on the type of body, pickguard design and paint finish chosen.

More elaborate finishes or specific body models may increase the total cost.
